Santa Rocks

Did you know Santa has a golden guitar? He's even turning snowflakes into notes!

Santa is a digital stamp from Gerda Steiner Designs. For coloring I used a Copic marker, colored pencils, glitter gel pens and Wink of Stella. Snowflakes are from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps's stamp set Snowy Sayings. I added some shiny stars and a red stripe (watercolor).

A Little Wreath

Today, no stamps. Just drawing. With a little help from compass (drawing tool).
I sketched the leaves and berries and colored them with Stabilo markers and Wink of Stella. For the berries I used Glitter Deco Pens (from TESA). I punched the corners and used dark red cardstock as a card base. My final embellishment is a red yarn bow.

Two Cards for a Name Day

Two cards for two persons, all by the name of Jitka.
The first one is a countdown to a name day. I used my old watercolor galaxy as a background and just added a rocket/spaceship from My Favorite Things´s Out of This World stamp set, colored with Stabilo markers and with Wink of Stella. For the countdown I added sticker numbers. The card base is colored with orange Copic marker.

The second card is a floral one. I took My Favorite Things´s Build-able Bouquet and created a floral frame first and then stamped the flower and the leaves, colored with Stabilo markers and Wink of Stella.

Thanks for the cookies!

Backstory: the kids from volunteer fire department will come selling homemade cookies from house to house and I wanted to make a little Thank you card:-)

I was inspired by the sketch at Task for Two Tuesday´s Challenge. For the furry part I picked a cute monster from Gerda Steiner Designs, used colored pencils, glitter gel pens and added a firefighter helmet from Your Next Stamp´s Silly Monster stamp set.

Naughty Puppy

Another postcard from me, this one will go to our vet clinic for Christmas as a big Thank you (for taking great care of our dog).

This sweet naughty puppy is a digital stamp from Gerda Steiner Designs as a monthly challenge for November. I decided to play with colored pencils and cotton swabs. Plus Wink of Stella.
For the border I took one little snowflake from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Snowy Sayings stamp set and alternated red and blue (Fired Brick and Salty Ocean Distress Inks).

Leaf Print

This card brought me back to my childhood: as kids we used to pick leaves in park and then we made prints with them.

So I went to our garden, picked a leaf, gave it a watercolor coat with autumn colors (red, orange and green) and transfered it on my card as a print. I masked a rectangle, loaded an old toothbrush with brown watercolor and gave it a brush.
With my brown Stabilo marker I added a stalk of the leaf and a sentiment.

Parachute Piggy

It´s time for Gerda Steiner Designs September´s Challenge!

First I made the background: I drew some clouds on a scrap paper and use them as masks while I did the sky with Distress Ink (Salty Ocean). The Piggy is colored with Copics, colored pencils, Stabilo pens and glitter gel pens, then I added Glossy Accents on googles and Wink of Stella on the parachute. I stitch-framed the scene with a blue glitter gel pen.

A little Thank You

This card goes to MFT Sketch Challenge.

On a kraft base I placed a design paper frame and a cute turtle from BB Polynesian Paradise (MFT), colored with Stabilo markers and white gel pen. Sentiment is from the same stamp set, the green transparent tape is from IKEA:-)

Rendezvous

The theme of Task for Two Tuesday's Challenge #59 was: Invitation plus sketch. This is my invitation to a date:-)

I played with some design paper from my stash (Folia) and pink glitter gel pen. The invitation is brought to you by a cute little pig from My Favorite Things (Hog Heaven), colored a bit with pencil and white gel pen. Plus letter stickers.
So don't forget, rendezvous tonight!

Hello, sunshine!

Let's do a sketch challenge!

For this card I used BB Polynesian Paradise from My Favorite Things. I stamped the little girl with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and with some masking I added flowers and leaves. I colored mostly with Stabilo pens/markers, the skin is done with Copics. Purple glitter gel pen on flowers gives a very nice shine:-) The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

On the stage

When I first saw this freebie digital stamp for Task for Two Tuesday Challenge, I pictured this band of cutties on stage...curtain call, standing ovation:-) So I created this scene:

I colored our Fantastic Four with Copics and drew the podium, curtain and the box where usually the prompter sits. I knew I didn't want to have a completly black background behind our performers and I remembered how Kathy Racoosin once made background with black fineliner by drawing the lines next to each other.
First I traced all the shapes in the background, so I would get a white border around and then I took black Stabilo fineliner (point 88) and loosely drew the lines with the intention to have some white space there.
I colored the podium lightly with colored pencil, I wanted to use the texture of watercolor paper. The curtains are made using Stabilo markers and water plus a little bit of yellow glitter gel pen. All is placed on a kraft base together with a stripe of black washi tape. Then I added the red oval on the prompter's box.

What does the Fox say?

This is my card for Gerda Steiner Designs's August Challenge.

I used Distress Inks for the background (Mowed Lawn) and for the red stripe (Fired Brick). My stencil of choice was Circle Burst from My Favorite Things. I colored this supercute fox with colored pencils, fussy cut it and adhered with foam tape.

Swim Piggy

I needed a birthday card, so I reached for Swim Piggy digital stamp from Gerda Steiner Designs.

For the background I played with watercolors and a straw to create splashes. The piggy is colored with Copic, Stabilo markers and colored pencils. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp's Big Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Monster banners

The next Task for Two Tuesday's challenge: use any kind of banner. Ok, what about monster banners?:-)

For the banners I used a stencil set from Tchibo and colored them with Stabilo pens + white gel pen. Then I added some googly eyes and a black stripe. For the sentiment I created a "travel tag", it's easy to switch it for another one if needed:-)

Mermaid

I printed the image on a kraft paper and colored it with Stabilo pens, added some details and outlines with white gel pen. Then I drew the border of bubbles and backed it up with design paper.

Hugs and kisses

This card is for Task for Two Tuesday's challenge. I picked this cute little bear from BBB (Birkas Bären-Bande), it's a free digital stamp.

I printed the bear on kraft paper, traced it with white gel pen and fussy cut it. Later I drew the heart on the same paper, colored it with red glitter gel pen, added a white gel pen border and fussy cut it, too. I splattered some white acrylic paint on a black paper - it was everywhere:-) - and created a background for my card. Glossy accents were added on the heart and on the nose.

This little bear sends hugs and kisses and watches over you while you're sleeping:-)

CASology: Row

I decided to try making a CAS card (Clean And Simple design) for CASology's challenge. The cue word for week 204 was: Row.

Picnic Penguin

Drifting on an iceberg and making sure he will get to your picnic in time:-). This penguin is a digital stamp from Gerda Steiner Designs.

I colored him with pencils and glitter gel pens, drew the iceberg and fussy cut the whole image. Kraft paper is used as a background.

Ice Cream Monster

Yes, it exists! I picked one of the ice cream from From the Heart Stamps's Ice Cream Lineup (free stamp of the month June) and there it was!

Colored with pencils, I added googly eyes, little dots (Glossy Accents + glitter gel pens), stripe of design paper (Folia, Origami design paper) and drew a few lines with green glitter gel pen.

Hug in a Mug

This card is for all coffee/tea/beverage lovers. And for Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

For the summer background I played with my Distress Inks (Fired Brick, Seedless Preserves, Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean) and few drops of water. The chick is a digistamp from Gerda Steiner Designs. I just fussy cut it and colored a bit with glitter gel pens plus some Glossy Accents. The sentiment is my handwriting.

Mr. Purple goes to a party

Mr. Purple from Your Next Stamp's Silly Monsters got all dressed up for a party!

Stamped on watercolor paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with pencils and glitter gel pens and fussy cut he waited for me to finish the basecard. I cut the front and put a large stripe of design paper to the inside of the card, then I stamped the sentiment and here goes Mr. Purple on foam tape! A few dots (glitter gel pen + Glossy Accents) and Glossy Accents on the moustache were added:-)

Frog and Frozen Flies

Inspired by Justine Hovey I wanted to try the ripple effect on a card and the frog from FTHS was just perfect for this.

I printed the stamp on watercolor paper and created a mask, too. For the ripple effect I used Distress Ink (Salty Ocean) and then I colored the image with pencils, glitter gel pens and DI (Mowed Lawn for the frog's body). Glossy Accents finished the popsicle and the tongue:-)

Mouse with the Drink

Hot days incoming, time for some refreshments from Gerda Steiner Designs:-)

First I created the background with Distress Ink (Salty Ocean) on a watercolor paper, set aside to dry and then I stamped those little hearts (ZOO Kindlich stamp set from Efco) with the same ink.
The image was colored with Copics and colored pencils and fussy cut with a white borderline. I added some Glossy Accents to the glass and to the little nose.

Hamlet PigWit in the Planter

That's the name of the Stamp of the Month May 2016 at From the Heart Stamps. I had really fun coloring it, I used a copic marker for the pig as a basic layer (E00) and continued with colored pencils. For some of the flowers I used my glitter gel pens.

For the layout the sketch from this week's challenge came in handy.

Butterfly

When I saw April 2016 Stamp of the Month at From the Heart Stamps, I knew I would use the butterfly for a card. It reminded me of the one I cross stitched for my mom.

I colored the image with Distress Ink (Seedless Preserves) and glitter gel pens. Then I masked an oval around the butterfly and did the stripes, again with DI. I wanted the card to be a single layer at first, but then I changed my mind and used a design paper with matching color from my stash (Folia, Motivpapier Potpourri).

Monkey

Since I participated last month in Gerda Steiner Designs's March Challenge, I received this digistamp to play along in April.

My idea was to get the monkey down from the tree he was hanging on and give him some balloons. This would make a great birthday card for a friend.
I colored this little guy with Copics (E00, E21, E11), colored pencils and with a little touch of glitter gel pens. I fussy cut him out, leaving a white border around. I stamped three balloons with Distress Inks (Fired Brick, Mowed Lawn, Seedless Preserves, balloons are from Simon Says Stamp's Big Birthday Wishes stamp set) and fussy cut them too.
For the background I went with brush stripes (Distress Ink Salty Ocean) on watercolor paper (Hahnemühle D'Aqua). I adhered all the elements on the card, drew the balloons lines with grey glitter gel pen and added Glossy Accents.

Kreativeinkauf Challenge #37

The challenge's theme is Happy Easter. Here's my little fatty:-)

Once again I tried my colored pencils on kraft paper. I took two egg templates to trace the body and the belly and hand-drew the rest. Then I cut five little eggs, decorated them with white gel pen and let the rabbit juggle:-)

Easter with Fluffy Gustav and Cookie Jar, the Unicorn

I just fell in love with Easter Freebies at Useless Trinkets

Both printed on watercolor paper (Hahnemühle D'Aqua), the Fluffy Gustav, the Easter Egg Monster, was colored with Distress Ink (Seedless Preserves), colored pencils and glitter gel pens, the sentiment is personalized for my little niece. The Cookie Jar, the Unicorn, was colored with glitter gel pens plus I added some shiny stars. Both design papers are from Folia (Motivpapier Potpourri and Basics).

Digging Dog

Easter is just around the corner and somebody was busy in the garden:-)

I printed this little fella on watercolor paper (Hahnemühle D'Aqua) and colored him with pencils and glitter gel pens, for the sky and grass I played with Distress Inks (Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn). Then I cut out the shape of a big egg and adhered it on the cardbase. The background is a combination of design paper (Folia, Motivpapier Potpourri) and kraft paper. The sentiment just proves the dog's innocence.

Carrot Bunny

This cutie is a part of monthly challenge at Gerda Steiner Designs. I wanted to try coloring on kraft paper, unfortunately I had only the 120 g/m² at hand, so in the end I backed it up with craft foam.

The image is colored with pencils and glitter gel pens, Glossy Accents added on the carrot and bunny's nose. Background design paper is from my stash (Folia, Motivpapier Potpourri), the sentiment says Happy Easter in Czech.

Laughing Giraffe

I used one of the cute giraffes from Laughing Giraffes and simply colored it with Copics (E29, R20, E00 and E21), added Glossy Accents on brown spots and just a little of glitter gel pen.

I cut the shape from challenge's sketch and stitched around with my brown colored pencil. On the cardbase I adhered two stripes of design paper from my stash with a shaped ribbon in the middle as my embellishment.

Sweet and hot

After a week off it's time for another From the Heart Stamps sketch challenge. I decided to use a twist this time - big sentiment. I picked the one from the Snowman and Cocoa.

First I drew (oh my) a cup and cut it out from red colored paper, then I printed the sentiment, divided it into segments and placed the pieces on the cup. As for the stripes, I played with my trimmer's wave and perforation cut a little, the same goes for the background's design paper (Folia, Motivpapier Potpourri).

Birthday Wishes

Recently I got my hands on a big set of felt sheets and decided to use it for a simple card.

I created a felt flower (with a sequin in the middle) including stem and little leaves, the pot is cut out of brown tinted paper. For the background I used design paper from Folia (Motivpapier Potpourri) and wave-cut it with paper trimmer. Sentiment is my handwriting with white gel pen.

This card is going to enter SugarPea Designs' 2nd Birthday Bash Celebration Challenge. HB and many years to come!:-)

Mouse Balloon

Another mouse! This time with balloon:-) The last card sketches challenge at From the Heart Stamps was so much fun, so I decided to join #140:-)

First I colored the mouse and balloon with pencils, then I handstitched around with a floss from my stash (Balerina Nr. 402) and added some sequins from Rayher. For the background I used design paper from Folia (Motivpapier Potpourri), three little gifts (Motivkarton Basics, Folia) with white gel pen ribbons and the final big ribbon is made from the same floss as stitching.

Mouse with Cookie

I made this card for my better half. He likes dark chocolate. When I saw this cute mouse from Gerda Steiner Designs, I knew it would be perfect: the cookie is made of milk chocolate, so I could have a bite, but there are dark chocolate chips in there!:-)

For the background I picked a design paper from Folia (Motivpapier Potpourri), the sentiment is printed (Segoe Script). I colored the mouse with pencils, fussy cut it and used foam tape to place it on the card.

With this card I'd like to enter:
